this happened on a recent trip i went on along the east coast
took the photo while driving too.

adventure=success

the best things happen when you least expect

the worst things happen when you know they're coming

between the things i know and the things i don't.... im pretty happy

at least thats what i think today.

Edward Sloane

jordan and i met up with Ed Sloane down at possos on saturday morning. it was early, cold and there was a whale lazing about just out from the river mouth.

with a now warm coffee in had, i was happy.

the sunday morning crowds were interesting, as per usual.

i nearly managed to lose my head like jordan in the second pic....but my near head loss was due to a paddle board on the loose..

ben and lee considine showed up and joined in on the fun.

the crowds finally thinned out, and all up was a fun surf.

oh and Ed takes rad shots.

 in the latest ALB mag he had a double page shot of benny.

he has a special new lens.....im only just a little bit jealous...

on lifes bullshit is what most of us feed.
oh such an ugly deed, from hunger to greed.

patagonia board swap 27th June - Video

great day had by all......thanks to all the crew that helped out and supported it!

killers at poss

this morning i went for a testing surf at Poosos. i was floating around between the inconsistent waves getting cold and bored......then i saw a massive fin over a meter high, not that of a dolphin, and luckily not that of a shark either.... was a fin belonging to a killer whale, and with is was its calf.

makes you feel pretty small and insignificant when you see shit like that.

left the surf pretty happy in the end.

nature at its best.

the surfer, Craig Hunter, is just off the coast of New Zealand’s North Island....
...kindly the one at possos was a tad further away.
