Page Thirty Three is the brain child of the lovely Ryan and Bianca.
These two are extremely talented artists and just all round beautiful people, the kind of people that make life that much better for having them in it. I have no doubt that this will have been transferred into their little baby that goes by the name of Page Thirty Three.
Making quirky little home-wares like recycled plastic guitar fly swatters and not so little giant sized lavender and cacao tea bags for your bath.

Another with an amazing voice...

I have recently re-discovered Chan Marshall aka Cat Power.

Little fact for the day: The name 'Cat Power' came about after she saw a 

Caterpillar(mining machinery) ad that read "Cat Diesel Power".

If you ever get the chance to listen to 'Willie Deadwilder', I recommend you 

do just that for the entirety of the song.... it goes for about 18 minutes

a lot of hours listening to it i have spent.

Adventures....

in june i went on a little adventure with a good friend of mine Abbey 'Albatross' Jacobsen.

we discovered that

1. Holbrook has the worst looking best roast dinner.....even though the veggies were floating in water, not roasted. and we got the small serving too...
2. Evans Head Caravan Park had some fun rides in their 'laundry word' theme park.
3. Airlie Beach supermarket wins the award for 'the most hormones you can fit in one strawberry' competition.
4. peanut butter on celery is severely under rated.
5. paying 'tips' with minimal cash, put plenty of creativity doesn't really make a difference.....all they want is more of your money.
6. chocolate coated frozen bananas, well, really they are just the most awkward think to eat at a cafe.
7. and thats about it.

Surfcoast longboard club held their annual charity event on the 31st of july and the 1st of Aug.

worry yourself awake

shakily eat your last birthday cake

out of bed, sliding your feet

your bodies contours stamped in your seat

this happened on a recent trip i went on along the east coast
took the photo while driving too.

adventure=success

the best things happen when you least expect

the worst things happen when you know they're coming

between the things i know and the things i don't.... im pretty happy

at least thats what i think today.

Edward Sloane

jordan and i met up with Ed Sloane down at possos on saturday morning. it was early, cold and there was a whale lazing about just out from the river mouth.

with a now warm coffee in had, i was happy.

the sunday morning crowds were interesting, as per usual.

i nearly managed to lose my head like jordan in the second pic....but my near head loss was due to a paddle board on the loose..

ben and lee considine showed up and joined in on the fun.

the crowds finally thinned out, and all up was a fun surf.

oh and Ed takes rad shots.

 in the latest ALB mag he had a double page shot of benny.

he has a special new lens.....im only just a little bit jealous...

patagonia board swap 27th June - Video

great day had by all......thanks to all the crew that helped out and supported it!

Next board swap is hopefully going to be held in November if all goes well...keep your ears and eyes peeled and make sure you get involved.

killers at poss

this morning i went for a testing surf at Poosos. i was floating around between the inconsistent waves getting cold and bored......then i saw a massive fin over a meter high, not that of a dolphin, and luckily not that of a shark either.... was a fin belonging to a killer whale, and with is was its calf.

makes you feel pretty small and insignificant when you see shit like that.

left the surf pretty happy in the end.

nature at its best.

the surfer, Craig Hunter, is just off the coast of New Zealand’s North Island....
...kindly the one at possos was a tad further away.

new Bo Bish

i am getting another new board....and this one i helped jordan glass....like i did with the hull.

next board i get shaped...im gonna glass myself. things could get weird. but i like weird.

in one day i go away for a couple of weeks, with my good mate Abbey.

hope the beachies are plentiful.

then i can actually try and get my head around this 5'6'' nuggety board.

i tried Jordan's 5'2''splice device the other day at possos, and managed to stand up.....
so i hope this works out for me too...
if not ill just break it in half and feed it to the dogs.
but im sure that wont be necessary.
ill show how good it looks when its done.
the fins are going to be spectacular spectacular.
that is all.
oh, you should get one too.....they are the future....and i mean it.
dont question, just do...whatever.

Just to remember, and not to forget.

One board, now rests in two pieces...

made this with jordan early last year.

took it to crescent and  noosa....followed by indo.... then a cruel twist of fate....its life was over.....as so often happens to the best things in life. 

miss that face.
