Moon face
Full moon,
My minds eye won't sleep
Full moon,
Together we dream so deep
In a world so far away
I wake to find a different day.

Some days, days are different to others.
Most days they are not.
Some days you get the best gifts
from the most unexpected places
from people
from strangers.
The heart and kindness in people
that seems so lacking
appeared in my life today.
The Kindness of strangers.
The known ones are the dangers.
Nil expectations.
Eighty and six = twenty five
Two and five = seven
I always notice the number eleven
Again.... I am the disenchanted
Tis' the word if the year.
I leave you with a warm smile.

create your enchanting wings
fly off into the future
boring is not an answer
its just your convenient mindset
be free in your mind
or become like all mankind
an ideal example from written design
the prototype for every life
there is no stand out stripe......just more lines
greed consumes the passion
passion turns to possession
expressions of difference?
there aint no middle of the fence
what is your defence?
.....its all just nonsense.

the hitchhiker hull
Yet another board sits half glassed and waiting to be surfed.
A tail with a bump, a tail like a blade.
6'10 x something x something.
I'm having much fun glassing this one, more experiments as always.
no decals, just some pencil drawings by the boss.
this is fun.

Circular motions
Life's big windows
let the light in
So much beauty
my body grins
Why let those loved so
Be the ones first to go?
The ones with so much love to give
Be now the ones that have no life to live?
Life is so beautiful
Life is so cruel
Being is magic
In the presence of you
For Those who are no longer
For those who are not
I think of, to be stronger
So they are not Forgot
Tragedy is love
Love is life
Life is loss
Loss is tragedy
Beautiful circular motions.....

the 48 hours of a day dream
so, i have been waiting for this board to find its way into existence for about 6 months. every time i'd pop into the boys factory, the half cut out blank haunted me. subtle hints lead to excessive harassment....
there was no point. the board did not yet exist, therefore the board couldn't exist.
it wasn't until returning from recent trip north, that this torture was going to end.
in a round-a-bout way i can thank 3 people for this board.
1. Mr. Lovelace for the inspiration
2. Jordan for taking the inspiration and shaping something special.
3. Myself for doing the rest.
on most of my boards i try to tinker on a little bit,
but this one i did everything except for shape the thing.....
thats next on the list.
anyway, its an asymmetrical hull.
good for going left. only problem being, there aren't many lefts in vicco.
when i can afford it i think ill take it on a date to NZ.
yesterday half glassed.
this morning sanding.
finish.
love.
jordan has one too, but mine is way better because its for lefts.
i like this board alot.
5'11 1/2" x 22 3/8" x 2 5/8"- DAY DREAMER.
keith richards is always a willing tag along - pic shaun freeman
at the start of today there were 2 unwaxed fresh new asymmetrical hulls that didnt exist a week ago.
there was never a chance that this board was getting a chance to cure.
so 2 green boards in tow, a keith richards, a shaun freeman, a jordan and myself all jumped in the car and went surfing. shaun and keith were our groupies. jordan was loving life because the rights were good. the lefts weren't as lovley. i stood up.
considering i was missing 2/3rds of a board i felt that was a good achievement.
yep im a short boarder now. longboards are for schmucks.
on an end note - in many ways this board feels like a reflection of my life at the moment....
....i must be shrinking.
or maybe i have a warped perception like the Twits(Roald Dahl)....

TWO WEEKS AND MR ABEGG COME TO TORQUAY
Surfing Legend Rusty Miller sum's up the 'Two Weeks' experience:
"Two Weeks touches on many of the essential questions many of us should be asking of ourselves, making you think and hopefully act!
Byron Bay surfer and filmmaker Johnny Abegg (On Credit and "___") is coming to Torquay with his Two Weeks film experience, accompanied by the "Dirty Sweet, Heartfelt Folk" of Soloist Musician M. Jack Bee, who will launch his live EP "In Loops".
This amazing event will held be on Tuesday December 14, at the Surfworld Museum Theatre (7:30pm). Tickets are $10 on the door, and is film and music event not to be missed.
An introspective documentary, Two Weeks follows Abegg as he ventures deep into the heart of the Tasmanian Wilderness alone, to gain clarity during a period of growing confusion and unhappiness.
A limited edition Two Weeks book with dvd will be available, as well as T-Shirts and copies of M. Jack Bee's new EP "In Loops".
$1 from each ticket sold will go to Still Wild, Still Threatened; a group of Grassroots Activists protecting the Ancient Growth Forests of Tasmania.
